Mel Taub has provided comfortably challenging puzzles that are rewarding to finish. The clues are well fashioned appropriately of varied context. Mel has (to my great relief) eschewed puns and anagrams in the format. The puzzles maintain the standard of avoiding multiple letters from one clue applying to a given word in the crostic quote. This is a fault that plagues the otherwise excellent work of Michael Dickman and Cynthia Morris.
