I bought a used travel trailer and hoped to make the fridge more efficient for boondocking. The passive cooling of the stack behind the fridge was a huge limit. Some scrapped 12vdc fans from work on top of the stack installed under the cover will solve that, but how to control them? This thermo switch is designed (on/off limits) for the fridge so is perfect for my needs. I wired it up (don't know if I need all of 4 fans, have option of running 2 or 4 at a time) and observed for a while. It cycles on and off with the controls, so it is perfect for my use! Now for some fans for inside the fridge, and how to get either 5 or 12 vdc into the space to run them!If you are doing a similar project for your RV fridge, this is perfect for controlling fans.
