Solves a problem of forgetful housemates I wish I didn't have. I think these are a little expensive for what they are, but there really isn't any competition. Hopefully it will hold up for a long time.Easy to install it works really wellVery nice 0-30 minute timer. Sturdy and well made. Clockwork mechanism is extremely quiet and not audible unless you press your ear against it. I like the fact that it does NOT have a hold (always on) setting, because that defeats its purpose. I use it as a light switch in an outdoor shed. If the switch had a hold setting it might be weeks before anyone noticed the lights were on all that time.The installation instructions are incorrect. The second image in the instructions shows a Philips head screw you are supposed to use to tighten the wire connection. The screw is not as shown. To connect the wires you have to pull the knob straight off, loosen the hex nut on the knob shaft, and rotate the plastic plate with the numbers 90 degrees. Now you can see the screw heads. No big deal, but it took me a while to figure this out.Works, has an NO and an NC connection. The buried terminals are a little weird to use, but aren't so bad I guess, it's just hard to properly inspect them. Make sure the plate and box screw positions line up before you head off to an install site, since they're not the same as a regular switch.The bath room fans are not made for be left on for hours. With this Thirty minute switch we no longer leave the fan running all day! Easy to install, not a real loud timer and worked great our of the box. It fit nicely in my 25 year old switch box.Has to be taken apart to connect the wires. Ended up losing a part of the internals making it useless and throwing it away. Not recommended.This is great thing to install on the bathroom fan so that it turns off so that the kids don’t leave the fan running all night!!!Easy to install. 30 min is just about the right amount of time needed for the timer.Replaced three manual switches with these mechanical timers.
